The galaxy NGC 4565 ("Needle Galaxy", Caldwell 38) in the constellation Coma Berenices
on February 25 / 26, 2014. NGC 4565 is about 30 to 50 million light years from earth and was discovered by William Herschel in 1785

Seventeen 3 minute exposures at ISO 800 were added for this shot with the DeepSkyStacker software (resulting in a 56 minutes exposure)
and the final image processing was done in Photoshop.
