The galaxy NGC 6946 ("Fireworks Galaxy") on the border between the constellations Cepheus
and Cygnus on July 31 / August 1, 2013. The spiral galaxy is 22 million light years from Earth and was discovered by William Herschel in 1798
(source: Wikipedia).
Twenty-three exposures of approximately 3 minutes at ISO 800 were added for this shot with the DeepSkyStacker software
and the final image processing was done in Photoshop. The total exposure time is 1 hour and 15 minutes - a personal record with the equatorial
platform.
